Adventure In Berkeley

It's quite interesting to come to a whole new country, and I have tried a lot of new things in the past 4 days.

Before coming to the U.S, I always have this thought that I may not get accustomed to the food here, but surprisingly, I handled it pretty well.

I went to Crossroad and Coffe 3 for regular meals with my friends, and we tried pizza and salad and so on, I have not tried hamburgers, but I would do it tomorrow.

And I have found a Chinese restaurant called XiangJu, which means get together in Chinese. It sits at the east of our campus, and the food there is really amazing, better than most of the restaurants in China.

I have not completed my tour in Berkeley, but I have found something really interesting here.

I have enrolled in two classes, one is held in Wheeler hall and one is in Barker hall, and both classes have few workloads, so I have got the time to tour around.

I also paid a visit to the Valley Life Science Building and Moffitt Library and the Main Library, the kind managers in the front door really helped me a lot.

I don't have the nerve to go to Oakland by myself, so it's impossible for me to have a taste of the original Oakland culture, what a pity.

I think I can go somewhere further this weekend, maybe I will go to the Seashore or Indian Rock Park.

As for the culture clash, it has not happened to me yet, people are just as nice as back in China.

But I do have some problems with the traffic here. Like how we pass a crossroad, We don't press a button when we cross the road in China, we just wait here until the green light blinks, but it's a different situation here, and the drivers are so kind that once I cross a road while the red light is still on, and the driver just stopped there waiting and missed his green light because of it. I feel so terrible.

And I don't see as many bicycles/motor on the road as in China, maybe it result from the difference in population density.
