Stanford and the silicon valley

Without a plan, we packed our backpack and went to Stanford. The campus is so beautiful that you can hardly believe that this kind of university does exist.

Unlike Berkeley, where you can audit every class, the labs and the classes are all closed to the public.

I guess it is because Stanford is a private school, which is a new thing in China.

Then we headed to the shopping center, trying to find something to fill our stomach, and ended up filled with a sandwich named sandwich with a terrible sauce. It is a total nightmare.

On our way to lunch, we also have a little tour in the Stanford Visual art Museum.

After that, we take a uber to Google. The driver is a second-generation immigrant; his daughter has graduated from Berkeley this year, and get a job in a non-profit. And he hates Trump from the bottom of his heart.

But there is nothing more than some building; the staff is on vacation.

Without an acquaintance in Google, the guard also informs us that there is no way we can get into the Googleplex.

Then we went to the Computer History Museum.

The museum is a first-class educational museum, and there are 20 subjects from basic calculation to Artificial intelligence.

It showed us how human could change the world with their bare hands.

On our way back to Berkeley, we met a uber driver from Afghanistan.

We talk about everything, from politics to English study, it is the first time that I have a conversation with English that lasts more than 40 minutes.

I think I have achieved significant progress in the past two weeks.
